Many American and Canadian men contact me telling me that they have

been chatting with Russian women who told them that they were single. But they were concerned that these Russian women might be married since they had rings on their left hand.

The majority of Russian women belong to the Russian Orthodox church.

In accordance with the Russian Orthodox Church tradition Russian women and men wear a wedding ring on the right hand. So if you see  Russian women wearing a ring on their left hand do not be concerned. These Russian women are not married
