However, eventually there’s nothing wrong with explaining to her your lifestyle, but it has to be done at the right time and in the right way, where it doesn’t look like you are trying to “buy” her interest and effection. Women are programmed to seek security for themselves and their offspring genetically, so they are definitely interested to know about your lifestyle since it’s going to be their lifestyle if things work out.

In this blog I’m only expressing my personal opinion. I recognise that there may be different points of view on this issue and I welcome the readers of this blog to post their comments below.

• Our country’s debt is a big concern. USA is a corporation, which is now almost 16 trillion dollars in debt. The debt that can not be repaid. According to economists President Obama’s proposal to raise taxes on the rich isn’t even going to start closing the gap. In 4 years this administration hasn’t attempted to cut the deficit and hasn’t produced a budget.  It is unclear to me how can a large, complex corporation be run with no budget?
• As some one who grew up in the Union of Soviet SOCIALIST Republics ( AKA USSR ) I learned at the early age that Socialism didn’t work. Frankly, I am astonished at the direction this currant administration is taking the country even though they have the benefit of watching the effects of Socialism on countries of Western Europe. I firmly believe that if president Obama is re-elected we are going to see the end of America as we know it. Just watch what is happening in France for the next year or two and you will know what awaits this once great country  in the near future. Creating an entitlement welfare society while running off the rich by removing all the incentives for them to continue doing business here, and taxing them to where it no longer makes sense  to stay in business (or to stay in this country) will make America unrecognisable in a matter of just a few years.
• Will any one, and this includes Russian women, want to move to the country that is going through a serious financial crisis with all the logical consequences like very high unemployment, deterereating  infrastructure, civil unrest? Even now many Russian women are apprehensive about moving to the USA. Canadian men have a much better rate of response from Russian women simply because Russian women are hearing a lot of bad things about the USA and the USA is no longer a very desirable destination for them. All being equal if a Canadian man and an American man contact the same woman I bet she will give preference to a Canadian guy.

Obama versus Romney

It is a fact that in almost 4 years of president Obama in the office this country haven’t even started an economic recovery and there are fewer people working now compared to when Obama took office in 2008. I firmly believe that another 4 years of president Obama in the White House will destroy this country’s economy and spirit. I doubt that Russian women will be interested in marriage to American men unless a man is willing to move to Russia (which may not be such a bad idea at that point).

In my experience, in Russia, you will not meet many women who actually are looking

to or are considering leaving Russia for another country if you take love and romance out of the equation. I can think of 3 reasons for this:
1. They love their country, their family and friends.
2. They usually enjoy their career and basically live a full, interesting life enjoying things like theater, movies, museums, bowling, pool, art, nature and travel.
3. Economy is in decent shape in Russia so many women who get their university degree or two (and a lot of them do) have relatively high paying jobs that afford them the opportunity to enjoy the things mentioned above, plus a car and even ownership of an apartment.
Things really did change tremendously in Russia compared to the 90s and early 2000s when many women would do anything to get out of there to have a chance at a decent life in the West. Those days are long gone, so get used to it.
I find that the only thing that really frustrates women who are not in a good relationship with a man is the fact that it is so hard to find a decent, non-drinking, non-cheating man in Russia and Ukraine who would like to be in a serious, monogamous relationship/marriage. Some Russian women will give a Western man a chance if they find him attractive, intelligent and interesting… they may even agree to leave everything behind and move to another country with him if they can envision having a solid relationship and kids with him.
I find that in Ukraine things didn’t progress as nicely politically and economically speaking for general population compared to Russia. It’s not as bad as it used to be in the 90s off course but still for most common folk life isn’t as good as in Russia. many people are very frustrated with ramped corruption and the government led by an ex con. The bottom line is that many Ukrainians just don’t see a bright, prosperous future in Ukraine for themselves no matter how hard they try because of the outside factors they can’t control, hence you will find more people there who do want to “get out” and move to the West. Still I think that the majority would prefer to make a life at home where their’ roots are.

Truth is that the vast majority of Russian women do not look specifically for foreign men. Most Russian women that you see on “Russian Bride” agency sites wound up there because they either responded to ads for work, contests and parties in the local media (newspapers, magazines, TV ads) or they were directly recruited by agency reps. Rarely you will find women on agency sites who put up their profile there because they are sincerally looking for a foreign man for marriage.

I deeply mistrust  these agencies and the Russian women there especially if they are very young and very attractive. Just think about it. A very attractive, young Russian woman can have any guy she wants locally, in Russia or Ukraine. She can get an attractive, intelligent, financially secure local man. Why would she look for a foreigner??? If she marries a foreign man she  will have to leave her family, friends, career, culture, her whole support system behind to move to a foreign land with a man she hardly knows after seeing him only for a couple of times.

Have you ever seen  American or Canadian women listing themselves with agencies that will connect them with foreign men? Off course not! Why do you think that is? So IMO many of these women are on these agencies to make commissions $$$ from the money a man spends writing letters, web cam chatting, gifts, flowers, etc. Or in some cases they have an agenda or issues that prevent them from marrying a good local man. What could those issues be? How about women with bipolar disorder or BPD? It is estimated that about 20% of people in Russia and Ukraine have mental disorders. Russian men have a much better chance to recognise the symptoms, on the other hand most Western men dealing with the language and cultural barrier wouldn’t know if the women they meet are the equivalent of uneducated trailer trash, it is unreasonable to expect them to easily recognise dysfunctional Russian women and Russian women with serious mental disorders.

Now with the Russian women who are more average in their appearance and are not very attractive it is a different story. A number of them may run out of options and not wanting to settle for a drunk or a cheat locally some of them (but still a very small number relatively) may decide to seek out a marriage agency to look for a foreign man.

However, all this doesn’t mean that a man from a Western country can’t find a beautiful Russian woman for love and marriage.  There are millions of single Russian women advertising for a mate on local Russian dating and social networking sites. They can be contacted directly, with no middleman involved. This is the most realistic and natural way of meeting them. Russian women who “can speak at least some English” and dismiss the others.  A really bad advice, in my opinion! All that separates the “non speakers” from “some English” speakers is really a couple of months of English classes.  But by looking only for Russian women who speak English you’d be giving up on 90% of the women in the “available” pool just for the sake of instant gratification of being able to say a few words in English to each other.  In reality both, “non” and “some” English speakers will have to spend at least a year immersed in their new, English speaking country to get to the point of more or less decent communication.
